A very nice older Siemens EQ that needed so care and rebuilding.
The entire unit was disassembled, cleaned, recapped (using exact replacements) and a few noisy transistors were replaced.
The internal power supply was rebuild and recapped as well.
The ground scheme was rebuilt, which greatly improved the noise floor (see te scope pictures).
The results were like night and day! Very smooth sounding EQ with lots of gain and a much lower noise floor! The customer was delighted!
