We rebuilt 2 of the 3 PSU module 'rails' with new power transistors, rectifiers, voltage regulators and computer grade smoothing caps.

The 3rd PSU module had its PCB burned beyond use. We replaced this with a new PSU module unit.

We also replaced all of the primary and interfacing power supply wiring, which had hardened and cracking, thus leaving segments of exposed bare wire!

All of the PSU to console connectors were replaced. The rack chassis was also replaced with our own custom designed chassis with dual bottom cooling blowers that vent to the top.

Both of the cooling fans are new design, high output / low noise units that increase air flow while reducing the noise level by nearly 7 db !

Lastly, it was decided to transplant ALL of the PSU units into a NEW steel reinforced rack frame, similar to the one picured. The old rack had a few major cracks that were expanding. With the complete PSU now weighing in at nearly 100 pounds, we didn't trust the old rack cabinet.

The new rack cabinet also provided much better air flow and dropped the interior cabinet temperature nearly 10 degrees C !
